Mika Nieminen, CEO of Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC), has been re-elected as Chair of the Board of Finnish Marine Industries (Meriteollisuus ry). The decision was made at the association’s autumn meeting held in Turku on 4 November.
Nieminen was unanimously elected to continue in the position by the Board.
The role of Finnish Marine Industries as an advocate and developer of Finland’s maritime industry has strengthened significantly in recent years. This was also reflected in the association’s autumn seminar, which attracted a large number of participants from across the sector.
The association plays a key role in implementing Finland’s new maritime industry strategy and in enhancing the competitiveness of the entire industry.
“It is a great honour to receive the trust of the industry and to continue in this important leadership role. Finnish Marine Industries has a vital role in implementing the new maritime industry strategy and strengthening the unified voice of Finland’s maritime industry,” says Nieminen.
