Alukset on suunniteltu varta vasten kyseiselle reitille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valmistuessaan Spirit of Tasmaniat ovat maailman etel\u00e4isimm\u00e4t pelk\u00e4st\u00e4\u00e4n nesteytetyll\u00e4 maakaasulla eli LNG:ll\u00e4 liikenn\u00f6iv\u00e4t alukset. Samalla se oli kaikkiaan seitsem\u00e4s Tallinkille Raumalla rakennettu alus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alus hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 polttoaineenaan meridieseli\u00e4 v\u00e4h\u00e4p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6isemp\u00e4\u00e4 nesteytetty\u00e4 maakaasua eli LNG:t\u00e4. Polttoaineratkaisun lis\u00e4ksi MyStarin suunnittelussa keskityttiin maksimoimaan aluksen energiatehokkuus. Aluksen voimalaitos on konfiguroitu siten, ett\u00e4 se on helposti optimoitavissa polttoaineen kulutuksen minimoimiseksi. Alus liikenn\u00f6i Vaasan ja Uumajan v\u00e4lisell\u00e4 reitill\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aurora Botnia on varustettu uusimmalla ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6teknologialla. Alus on merkitt\u00e4v\u00e4sti nykyvaatimuksia ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6yst\u00e4v\u00e4llisempi, mink\u00e4 my\u00f6t\u00e4 se t\u00e4ytti ensimm\u00e4isen\u00e4 matkustaja-autolauttana maailmassa Clean Design -luokkamerkin kriteerit. Akkuteknologian ja biopohjaisten polttoaineiden ansiosta Aurora Botnian p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6t ovat puolet edelt\u00e4j\u00e4ns\u00e4 Wasa Expressin p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00f6ist\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kansainv\u00e4linen raati palkitsi aluksen sen valmistumisvuonna \u201dThe RoPax of the Year\u201d -palkinnolla ja seuraavana vuonna \u201dShippax Design &amp; Technology\u201d -palkinnolla.
